- Mascara: Of course what every girl needs in her makeup bag is mascara. This is a no brainer essential. With just a few coats, mascara can dramatically change your looks & your good to go. A great mascara for beginners is Maybelline's New York Great Lash Big Washable Mascara.
- Foundation : This is another great essential because most people out there don't have perfect skin, and the cause for this is multiple factors like: our skin is always aging, washing our face over the years/products we've used on our face over the years, scars, acne, acne scarring, harsh seasons, etc. Since your a beginner in makeup, I would definitely suggest trying out drugstore makeup first (duh right?) Anyways so you can see how everything works, get into makeup a little more depth, before bargaining for high end products. Some of my favorite drugstore brands are Revlon for their foundations (people also rave about there lip butters, which is like a moisturizing lip tint- best of both worlds if you don't want to get into lipstick just yet. ) (If you don't really need much coverage for your face, I highly recommend just pressed or loose powders.) Like Rimmel's Stay Matte Pressed Powder($3-5) (Will do review later.)
- Tinted Lip Balm : For the beginners who don`t want to mess with lipstick just yet. You can get the best of both worlds like I said above with these, moisture & some color. If you want to look into these Revlon has there lip butters & Maybelline just came out with their new Color Whisper`s that are supposedly a lipstick but with somewhat translucent color properties.
That's basically all for this post, I think I`ll do a series of this and call it the Makeup Beginner's Diary! (None of the photos below are mine)
